The BAFTAS research
The BAFTAS are an awards ceremony that hosts annual awards shows for film, television, television craft, video games and forms of animation.The BAFTA awards are mainly for British films. The British Film Academy was formed on 16th April 1947 in a hotel room at the Hyde Park Hotel by a group of the most eminent men in British film by David Lean, Alexander Korda, Carol Reed, Charles Laughton, Roger Manvell.Since 1989, the Los Angeles branch, BAFTA/LA, holds its own awards ceremony each year, called the Britannia Awards.The is also British television awards which usually take place in April or May.The BAFTAS are probably one of the most prestigious awards in Britain

Apocalypse Now Redux
The audience is thrown straight into an establishing shot of a huge a forest,they are kept in suspense as non -diegetic apocalyptic music plays ("The End" - The Doors) ,now and again helicopters fly past which leaves the audience wondering what is about to happen.As the lead singer starts to sing the forest is bombarded with explosions this has a dramatic effect as it is showing nature been destroyed by man whilst being accompanied by the apocalyptic music.The shot of the forest being destroyed fades into an Extreme Close up of Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) the music also has an effect here as the lyrics say 'look into my eyes' whilst the ecu is focused onto his eyes the opening scene is well choreographed to the music.The fans in his room are then portrayed as helicopters which shows the audience the state of mind Martin Sheen's character is in.The shots are all laced together by the music , so it plays a very important role in these opening scenes.
